APIOps Helsinki 2026: Highlights, Feedback & Session Slides

Hi Reader

Last week, API platform leaders, architects, IAM owners, and product teams gathered at APIOps Helsinki 2026.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined this year's APIOps Helsinki as a participant, speaker, partner, or volunteer.

Throughout the event, discussions around API strategy, agent integrations, monetization, governance, and IAM continued across keynotes, workshops, clinics, and unconference sessions.

The event also sparked active discussions between participants and speakers on current API challenges and the ideas presented throughout the sessions.

APIOps Helsinki 2026 Highlights

Valtter Rajakannas’ keynote connected platform products and enterprise architecture with Finnish happiness.

In the hands-on sessions, participants worked on designing APIOps operating models, creating MCP wrappers for APIs, pressure-testing monetization models, and experimenting with agent integrations.

Oscar Santolalla hosted a panel discussion on whether APIs are still the platform — or whether AI agents are beginning to replace them. Panelists Tim Sevenich, Claire Barrett, and Frank Kilcommins brought their own expertise to the topic and sparked an active discussion with the audience.

It was great to receive such positive feedback throughout the event. The post-event survey reflected the same positive sentiment, with an NPS of 100 and an average recommendation score of 9.1, which is excellent.

Participants particularly valued:

  • Discussion around AI, Agents, Governance, Security & API Strategy
  • Variety of session formats: Talks, Workshops & Unconference sessions
  • Opportunity to network

If you haven’t completed the post-event survey yet, there’s still an opportunity to do so. We value every response and use the feedback to help shape future events.

Full Agenda Register Most tech conferences are optimized for passive consumption. APIOps Helsinki 2026 is intentionally designed differently. As APIs, AI agents, governance, IAM, monetization, and platform strategy evolve, many of the most valuable discussions no longer happen through presentations...

Hi Reader, APIOps is becoming the operating model for APIs—especially as AI agents become first-class consumers. This shift is exposing gaps in how APIs are designed, governed, and operated, pushing many teams to rethink how APIs are managed in practice. APIOps Helsinki (June 2–3) is built around this idea. This is not a typical conference but a working event for teams building and running API platforms in real-world conditions. The idea is simple:Bring an APIOps problem. Leave with clearer...
